What's it like being loved by someone you love?

Being in love?

"Have you ever been in love? Horrible isn't it? It makes you so vulnerable. It opens up your chest and it opens up your heart and it means someone can get inside you and mess you up. You build up all these defenses, you build up a whole suit of armour, so that nothing can hurt you then one person, that specific person walks into your life. You give them a piece of you. They didn't ask for it. Love takes hostages. It gets inside you. It eats you out and leaves you crying in the darkness, so simple a phrase like 'maybe we should just be friends' turns into a glass splinter working its way into your heart. It hurts. Not just in the imagination. Not just in the mind. It's a soul-hurt, a real gets-inside-you-and-rips-you-apart pain."

Daniel and Samuel (Love Actually)

Daniel: Son, Samuel, I've noticed something lately. Is there something you want to tell me? Give me any hints. Are you being bullied in school? Is it mum's death?

Samuel: You really want to know?

Daniel: Yes.

Samuel: Even if it's something you absolutely can't do anything about it?

Daniel: Even if that's the case, yes.

Samuel: Okay, the truth is, I'm in love.

Daniel: I must say I'm a little relieved!

Samuel: Why?

Daniel: Because I thought it could be something worst!

Samuel: Worst then the total agony of being in love??

Daniel: Well um, yeah, total agony.
